Role Overview

As a Market Research Analyst I, you will help DataMap refine its positioning by gathering insights into the industry, our competitors, and target customers. You will work cross-functionally with leadership, sales, and business development to analyze trends, interpret data, and deliver actionable recommendations that shape marketing campaigns, content strategy, and product positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Industry & Market Analysis

  • Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive positioning.
  • Analyze customer pain points and business needs to refine marketing messages.
  • Create concise research reports to support leadership and sales teams.

Competitor & Product Research

  • Conduct competitor research, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and market opportunities.

Customer Insights & Data Interpretation

  • Gather data on potential customers and help define our ideal client profiles.

Marketing Strategy Support

  • Work with leadership to ensure market research translates into actionable strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Business, Data Analytics, or related field).
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize complex data.
